Evil Unadorned

I read an article recently that I wished I hadn't. I happened upon it by chance at a local pharmacy while waiting for a prescription to be filled. The article is ultimately an interview with a man convicted of a crime who's horror and senselessness are beyond measure. In the aftermath, I find myself searching for ways to cope with the knowledge that these things happen with chilling frequency.
